sack and definitely save
foods purchased:
3 green bell peppers
2 moderately sized sweet potatoes
6 plums
3 peaches
2 pears
a generous sized bag of grapes
2 mangoes (eating in small amounts at my own risk)
1 box of strawberries
grand total:
$9.11
Luke and I have been shopping around all the grocers in denton and have found that Sack and Save is definitely your best bet for fresh produce at great prices. We don't recommend shopping there for everything though b/c some stuff is priced at a substantially higher price or the generic isn't available. Example: Silk brand soy milk is $3.94 at sack and save but you can get the generic soy milk at Kroger for $2.49. However if you want something like asparagus you have to make the trip to Kroger. My suggestion is going to Sack and Save for a fruity Friday and Kroger for your soy Saturday.

apparently...
when people are just beginning to understand my spanish-psychobabble-jibberish it's time for me to leave.
however, the other night this girl was telling me about how she has to go to houston every year for her job and told me she really didn't like the city but likes the shopping. americans dont really understand how expensive it is to purchase clothes in mexico. anyway, i agreed that the shopping was really good (and that houston otherwise is kind of a grim place to live) but at the stores "hay muchos barrachos cosas" (there are many drunk things). what i meant to say was "hay muchos barratos cosas". i'm thankful for random strangers' forgiving nature with my language. this story goes along with my confusion with huevos (eggs), llaves (keys), and jueves (thursday). when asked what the day is i've definitely responded by saying eggs. okay, so maybe it is time for me to come home.

millard kaufman and a prison human excrement
perhaps i have an inappropriate sense of humor. the phrase "I somehow got preoccupied with what happened to human excrement" should be acceptable at anytime once you hit your mid-ninety's. i'd really like a chance to have some tuesdays with millard.
{for those of you not acquainted with millard he is the creator of Mr. Magoo and just published his first novel at the age of 96}
